Lise Alkerstedt
Lise Alkerstedt joined Dr. Ben-Meir in 2005 as Political Analyst focusing on Middle Eastern affairs and conflict resolution.
Lise holds a master's degree in political science from Södertörn University College of Stockholm, Sweden. There she was awarded an Erasmus scholarship and spent one year as an exchange student studying international relations at Sciences Po - l'Institute d'Etudes Politiques in Rennes, France. She has completed her studies in international relations at New York University and her studies in French at Université de Bourgogne and Université de Paul Valéry in France. In addition, she has taken a peace research course at the reputed University of Oslo, Norway, earning her a new recognition for her grasp of materials and their application to the international scenes.
Lise put to use her in-depth knowledge and keen understanding of internationally complex issues by being not only a terrific sounding board but a contributor of many new ideas to advance peace. As a skillful communicator, Lise maintains an ever widening network of academics, diplomats and government officials in many countries in the Middle East.
She is a world traveler and has over time gained tremendous insight into the people she encounters, always demonstrating admirable ability to connect with remarkable sensitivity. Lise is a superb organizer, creative and resourceful and extremely adaptable to new situations and unpredictable changes.
Lise is a Swedish national and has lived nine years outside her native country. She is fluent in English, French, Scandinavian languages and speaks basic Spanish.
